Semiconductor sensing platform company
S-SENTIA is a Swiss fabless semiconductor company developing high-performance sensing technologies for applications where signal quality at the point of detection determines system performance.
From research to semiconductor products
The company is built on over a decade of research in detector physics, optical sensing and sensor ASIC design at the University of Geneva.
As sensing systems become more complex, performance is increasingly limited by the quality of the initial physical measurement rather than downstream processing. S-SENTIA addresses this constraint at the sensing interface.
Technology approach
Our PicoAD-based platform combines custom detector structures with ASIC-based analogue signal processing. The result is a sensor IC architecture designed to preserve weak and fast optical signals before digitisation.
The technology is implemented in standard CMOS processes through external semiconductor foundries.
Our mission is to improve the quality of sensing at its source.
Better computation cannot recover information that was never captured. Our focus is ensuring that the signal entering any system is as complete, precise and reliable as possible.
